ABOUT THE COURSE

Our Carnatic vocal classes online, is the ideal fit for every musical enthusiast who aspires to carve his own identity in the world of classical music along with igniting his own artistic pursuits. Our Carnatic Vocals course is designed for every amateur singer as well as intermediate level learners and has the power to guide an advanced learner too. The course begins with introducing our students to the basics of Carnatic classical music system along with a plethora of voice training exercises. We have made it our prerogative to upheld the cultural essence of Indian classical music by strictly following the traditional way of teaching, which adds to the beauty of learning Carnatic music in its truest form.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

• Basic knowledge of the structure and form of Carnatic music: Students will have a basic understanding of the structure of ragas, talas, and other fundamental concepts of Carnatic music
• Vocal technique: Students will learn basic vocal techniques such as breath control, pitch, and tone production, and will begin to develop their own unique vocal style
• Basic repertoire: Students will learn a basic repertoire of Carnatic compositions, including popular songs and devotional hymns
• Notation and lyrics: Students will learn to read and write music notation and lyrics in the Indian language
• Listening and Appreciation: Students will develop their ability to listen to and appreciate Carnatic music, and to understand its cultural and historical context
• Basic practice techniques: Students will learn effective practice techniques that will enable them to continue to improve their skills and build their knowledge of the tradition even after the course has ended
• Basic understanding of the culture and historical context of Carnatic Music.
• Basic understanding of the concepts of Raga and Tala
• Basic understanding of the various forms of compositions in Carnatic Music
• Basic understanding of the various instruments and percussion used in Carnatic Music
