Our brain consists of two parts - the left hemisphere and the right hemisphere. The Left Brain is our verbal, rational side and the Right Brain is our creative and visual side. School curriculum has always paid more attention to the left side of the brain - numbers, letter, words, etc. and most of our artistic activities like painting, music, dance has a lot of rigidity and structure associated with it. This results in the right side of the brain to be underdeveloped and we lose our creativity somewhere along the way. But what if we could focus more on the right brain while completely relaxing the left brain? This course aims to achieve that. The foundation of this course is to access the subdominant visual and perceptive side by presenting the brain with a job that the verbal left brain will turn down. At the end of the course, the student will have learnt the 5 basic skills of drawing - the perception of edges, shapes, relationships, lights/shadows, and lastly, the perception of the 'whole'. These skills will train the students to access the Right brain at a conscious level, thus helping them in all diverse artistic fields.
